While Troy and I were gone in Colorado Derek got our new house all finished up and ready to move in. So the weekend after we got back (about 4 days before Christmas) we moved in! It was the best Christmas gift we could have asked for. It was a hectic few days with family coming into town and all our Christmas shopping still to be done, but we managed to get everything done just in time for Christmas Day! We even got a tree about 3 days before Christmas and dug out our decorations. Troy adjusted great to being here. He loves all the extra space. So much more room to run and to make more of a mess. :) We still have landscaping to do, but for the most part we are done. I am hoping to get the decor all done before Drew arrives, but we'll see. Once I do though, I will post pictures. We are just so thrilled to finally make a place our home. And it already does feel like home.
Troy had a great Christmas too. He was more into it then I thought he would be. We read Christmas books weeks before, so he was super excited about Santa. I swear the anticipation of seeing his face Christmas morning was more exciting then actually being a kid on Christmas Eve night. It gave Christmas a whole new meaning this year. The true wonder in a childs eyes is something only a parent can understand. I already am so excited for next year! We had a great time with all our guests and visitors too. My parents were able to come for a few days and Derek's mom and Jake stayed with us for a week. Troy was in heaven! And so were we. They wore him out so much that he was sleeping in. Ha!
Here are some pictures from Christmas.
