Our Colorado Trip

So this post is way over due, but better late then never right? In mid December Troy and I decided to hop on a plane to go see Grandma and Grandpa in Colorado. I was a bit nervous tackling the flights with no partner. Bryan or Derek had been on both our previous flights to help. And this time not only was I flying solo with a 32 pound "lap child", I had a huge six month pregnant belly. But luckily he is such a good boy that I had nothing to worry about. And on the way there we managed to get an empty seat for him to sit in and on the way back he slept most of the way. We had the best time ever when we were there too. Grandma and Grandpa had big plans for us, or I should say Troy. Which was great because it let me relax and I even got a pregnancy massage too. He experienced snow for the first time which suprisingly he liked. It took him months to warm up to grass and sand, so I wasn't sure how it would go. The cold didn't seem to bother him one bit. Grandma of course had a ton of preschool projects for him and Grandpa and him set up a real train set around the Christmas tree. He also loved feeding the deer every morning with Grandpa and going out to see the Christmas lights at night. We got several "whooows" when he saw one's he liked. If we hadn't missed Daddy so much we would have stayed longer. Troy still talks about his plane ride to Colo"rado" and visiting, "Mama, Papa, and Vannah" (their dog Savannah). I'm so glad we made the trek especially since it won't be so easy once Drew is here. Below are some pictures from the trip.
